Meet Chris Adams

Chris Adams has worked on commercial refrigeration for nearly 30 years: walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, prep tables and display cases, in restaurant kitchens, convenience stores and small markets.

In October 2026 he opened Cold Works in Cartersville, GA. The company is new. The hands doing the work are not. Chris started Cold Works because he wanted to run refrigeration service the way he thinks it should be run: the owner answers the phone, the owner shows up, and the customer gets a plain account of what's wrong and what it will take to fix it.

Cold Works is a small business built for small businesses. The customers are restaurant owners, kitchen managers, store owners and the other local operators who can't afford a cooler full of product going warm and don't want to be talked into equipment they don't need.

How Chris works

When you call (678) 314-4543, Chris picks up. He asks what the unit is doing, what you've already checked and how urgent it is, and he tells you what to do in the meantime.

On site he finds the fault and explains it in plain words: what failed, why, what it takes to fix it and whether the unit is worth fixing. Then he fixes what's broken. If the repair is simple, he says so. If the equipment is at the end of its life, he says that too, and the decision is yours.

There is no second technician, no dispatcher and no sales visit. The person you talked to on the phone is the person in your kitchen, and the person you'll talk to the next time.

Who Chris works for

Cold Works serves restaurants and commercial kitchens first, then convenience stores and other small, locally owned businesses in Cartersville and the surrounding area. The work is commercial refrigeration only: walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach-in units, prep tables and display cases, from an urgent repair to a maintenance plan to a new installation.

Cold Works carries general liability insurance.

If you run a kitchen or a store in Cartersville and something is warm that should be cold, or you'd rather have it looked at before it fails, call (678) 314-4543.
